King’s Daughter—Quilt Pattern Testing

Today (May 30, 2023) is the pattern release for Kimberly Forman Creative’s King’s Daughter quilt pattern. I am happy to be chosen as a pattern tester for this project. The instructions were super easy to understand, and I made the 48″ x 48″ baby/toddler size.

The King’s Daughter is a quilt pattern for confident beginners and up. It features interwoven crosses based on Psalm 45:13, “The King’s daughter is all glorious within; Her clothing is interwoven with gold.”

This beautiful quilt pattern is available in baby/toddler, throw, queen, and bonus throw sizes. There are also two versions of blocks—a two-color and star version. All straight-line stitching with sew-and-flip corners are easy to complete and creates a stunning pattern.

I chose a super cute pink fabric with magenta, white and metallic gold dots called Stardust by Beverly McCullough of Flamingo Toes for Riley Blake Designs. Just look at that adorable selvage!

The white fabric is my go-to fave, Anthology Batiks, Snow White Lava Solids. There’s nothing better than the crisp white and nearly no raveling and fraying of solid batiks. This gorgeous solid white batik fabric is available in my online store so click the link or choose Batiks in the fabric menu.

This is a closeup of a portion of the completed baby quilt top. I think this quilt will be especially pretty once I get it quilted!

Here are the fabric requirements of the various sizes included in the pattern.

Check back soon as I’ll be posting photos as the top is quilted and bound.

Happy sewing!
