Let’s hit the road!  Inspired by her childhood family vacations, Heather Black’s new collection, Road Trip, features a mix of versatile prints and five full-yard panels. Invoke nostalgic memories of passing telephone poles, retro neon signs, and tourist traps with abstract shapes and hand-drawn textures. Use these exciting prints to recreate one of Heather’s quilt patterns, or any other sewing DIY projects! Heather’s passion for design is founded in her past as a landscape oil painter and her desire to be creative.  It is Heather’s love of quilting that has encouraged her to expand creatively into textile and surface design. Heather’s quilts and patterns have been featured in various quilting publications and have had a myriad of quilts displayed at international, national and regional quilt shows.  Along with quilting, Heather is a single, widowed mom of a beautiful girl, CoraJoan.  Heather grew up in the Pacific Northwest and attended college in Pennsylvania.  Many of her designs are inspired by the landscape in her home state.  She maintains a blog at www.quiltachusetts.com and is active on Instagram under @quiltachusetts.
