The Snowbound Hat by Melissa Mortenson of Polka Dot Chair features a quilted Santa hat.

The printed pattern includes instructions for Medium (15″ Tall x 25 1/2″ Circumference) and Large (16″ Tall x 26 1/2″ Circumference) sizes.

Fabric Requirements
• Lining Fabric: 5/8-yard
• Fusible Fleece / Batting: 1/2-yard
• Trim (Faux Fur, Minky, or Fleece): 1/4-yard (approx. 5″ x 27″ strip) plus 1 large fur pom-pom
Outer / Patchwork Fabric:
• For Striped/Patchwork versions: 8 to 10 strips of 2 1/2″ x WOF (width of fabric) in various prints, or roughly 3/4-yard total cut into strips.
• For a Single Main Print: Check the individual yardage guide inside the specific Pattern for standard solid/quilted yardage options.
• Additional Notions: Pattern-ease or foundation material (approx. 3/4-yard), standard sewing machine with a walking foot, and basic quilting tools.
