Organic quilting cotton is cotton that is grown from non-genetically modified plants without using any synthetic agricultural chemicals such as fertilizers, pesticides or other artificial agents. Natural seeds are used to produce organic cotton, and pesticides and other harmful chemicals are not used which makes the price per yard of fabric a bit higher than other quilt shop quality cotton fabric.
